08/05/2013 - International Mail Delivery Days

Please be advised that International Mail deliveries will be delays in the following countries:

Eritrea (29/04/2013 - ongoing): Due to a large backlog of mail in Cairo, Eritrea are currently not accepting any further mail into the country until further notice.

Portugal (02/05/2013 - 05/05/2013): Delays to be expected with mail deliveries due to a 3 day strike by regional air carriers.

Due to intermittent and ongoing industrial actions called by postal workers in Germany, delivery delays are expected.

Please be reminded that it is prohibited to send un-boxed tyres to Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland

A maximum of 2 tyres per box can be sent, with the exception of Sweden where it is a maximum of 1 tyre per box

This is due to strict application of EU regulations by local health and safety authorities

Any cardboard box containing tyres must be within the size and weight restrictions:

Maximum Girth: 300cm

04/01/2013 - Italy Delivery Delay Update

Please be advised that deliveries in Italy have now improved and transit times have returned to normal

Technical issues within Italy on 20th December caused a backlog of deliveries during the Christmas period

 

02/01/13 - Russian New Year Celebrations 2013

Please be advised that the Russian Orthodox Christmas and New Year celebrations will start from 30th December 2012 until 8th January 2013.

Parcels in transit and/or due for delivery during this period will be held at the local depot
Parcels shipped during this period will be held at the international gateway

The service will resumed on Wednesday 9th January 2013.

Due to heavy snowfall and icy road conditions in Germany and the Czech Republic deliveries delays are to be expected.

Due to long waiting times at the Eurotunnel this afternoon, trailers en route to the UK may not arrive in time for unloading this evening.

This may also affect departures to Europe mainland.

05/12/12 - South Korean Customs

Please be advised that South Korean Customs has tightened regulations for importing goods. Consignors are required to use specific descriptions on commercial invoices in order to avoid potential delays at Customs.

The following requirements must be met when completing an invoice:

• All Invoices should be in English and no special characters such as !, #, $, % are allowed.
• The item description should not have broad descriptions such as sample, food, gift.
• The item description should not just include the brand. 
• The item description should have the full description and number of items contained within the shipment. e.g. 2 cotton t-shirts, 3 leather jackets

Shipments sent to South Korea with incomplete description or missing information may be held and/or returned back to consignors.

 

27/11/12 - Christmas Gifts to Norway

We would like to inform you about current changes concerning sending Christmas gifts to Norway

For Christmas gift shipments to Norway, we ask you to observe the following important restrictions. Norwegian customs are very strict in their assessment/interpretation of declared gifts and allows no exceptions

In order for Christmas gifts to be VAT/DUTY free, the following requirements must be met,

• Christmas gifts must be sent from private individuals to private individuals only.(C2C) - Customer to Customer
• The value of the goods must not exceed 120 Euro and the actual value must be indicated
• The invoice must reflect the actual content of the parcels, invoices with the info, "gifts/gift items" as contents are no longer admitted by Norwegian customs and the parcels will be returned

Norwegian customs will charge duties/taxes in the following instances

• If the gifts are being sent from companies to companies (B2B) - Business to Business
• If the gifts are being sent from companies to private individuals (B2C) - Business to Customer
• if the value exceeds 22 Euro

Please ensure the correct information is present on the commercial invoice

This includes

• a true and correct value of the goods
• correct VAT or Personal ID number

Brazilian Customs are currently on strike, normal customs clearance operations will resume on 26th November 2012.
As a result deliveries delays for non document parcels are expected during this period.
